PORTLAND, Ore. (April 25, 2024) – Tonkon Torp associate Samantha Taylor has joined the Board of Trustees for Oregon Parks Forever. She also serves as the Secretary on the organization’s Executive Committee. Oregon Parks Forever raises funds and builds partnerships to restore and create new facilities and sites in the Oregon state, county, and local park and forest system.

“It’s an honor to serve on the Oregon Parks Board of Trustees. Tonkon Torp has a deep connection with the organization and I am proud to carry on that legacy,” shared Taylor. “I’m excited to support Oregon Parks Forever initiatives like the Climate Resiliency Fund, which is designed to help replant forests and parks affected by Oregon’s recent wave of wildfires and drought. As a nature lover, I believe Oregon parks are an essential and irreplaceable part of what makes our state great.”

Tonkon Torp has supported Oregon Parks Forever from its establishment in 1995, when founding partner Brian Booth played a key role in creating what was then the Oregon State Parks Trust, and later the Oregon State Parks Foundation. Taylor is the ninth Tonkon Torp lawyer to serve on the organization’s Board of Trustees. Learn more about current Oregon Parks Forever initiatives here.

Taylor is a litigator who works with clients on a broad range of complex commercial disputes. Prior to joining Tonkon Torp, Taylor practiced law in North Carolina, where she also received her J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
