Business Restructuring, Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy
We represent individuals and corporations in all aspects of the restructuring process. Our practice includes seeking relief from the automatic stay, repossession of collateral, and assumption of executory contracts and leases; obtaining adequate protection and cash collateral orders; and purchasing assets from Chapter 11 debtors. We represent secured and unsecured creditors, as well as Chapter 11, 12, and 13 debtors, in bankruptcy matters.
Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
Bond’s cybersecurity and data privacy attorneys are residents of the full range of Bond’s diverse practice areas, and thus draw from the firm’s collective wealth of experience in governance, compliance, and litigation across a wide array of industries and markets. The attorneys in the group provide insight into cybersecurity and data privacy matters concerning business transactions, compliance, information management, governance, human resources, intellectual property, litigation and technology, with particular experience in higher education and healthcare, both of which are highly regulated areas.

Our collegiate sports practice is the nation’s premier practice representing colleges and universities in NCAA rules compliance and eligibility and infractions matters. With more than 100 combined years of involvement and experience in NCAA-related matters, our attorneys are the most qualified, capable and experienced in this area of unique and complex regulations.
Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation
Our attorneys assist clients with the design, implementation and maintenance of a variety of employee benefit plans, including tax-qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements, stock-based incentive plans and cafeteria plans. Our employee benefits and executive compensation practice represents local, regional and national companies; educational institutions; health care entities; and professional service organizations before governmental agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.
Bond provides counsel on all aspects of environmental law, including regulatory compliance and permitting, due diligence, enforcement and litigation. Our environmental practice encompasses environmental impact review of facility siting/expansion, hazardous waste, air quality, water and wastewater, wetlands, solid waste, pesticides, storage tanks, release reporting, brownfields redevelopment, remediation, emerging contaminants and health and safety. We assist clients to resolve federal and state regulatory compliance and enforcement concerns. Our practice is a leader in New York State regarding the evaluation and mitigation of environmental risk and liabilities. Our energy attorneys have considerable experience in the siting and construction of energy and transmission facilities, as well as issues related to interconnection, natural gas exploration, and the purchase, sale, production and distribution of energy, including renewable resources such as wind and solar.
Our higher education practice is comprised of attorneys who provide a full range of services to dozens of regular higher education clients, in addition to the many additional institutions we represent in NCAA compliance matters through our collegiate sports practice. Our services routinely cover academic, business and student affairs issues, financing and construction matters, NCAA issues, commercial real estate and environmental matters, labor and employment, employee benefits and immigration matters, as well as charitable giving and development issues. Our attorneys are active members of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), having served as president and in other leadership roles within that group.
