Timothy Wright Joins Minds Matter Board of Directors

PORTLAND, Ore. (June 09, 2022) Tonkon Torp attorney Timothy Wright has joined the Board of Directors for Minds Matter of Portland. Minds Matter is an academic mentoring program that empowers young people from low-income families to achieve college readiness and success. The Portland chapter of Minds Matter was founded in 2006.

“I was drawn to work with Minds Matter Portland because I grew up similarly situated to the students the program serves,” shared Wright. “I understand how difficult the path to higher education can be for a young person with that socioeconomic background – even with a strong support network. My wife and I have greatly enjoyed working with the Minds Matter sophomore class this year, and I’m looking forward to additionally helping the organization serve the community as a member of its Board.”

Wright is an associate in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department. He works with businesses and individuals in a variety of complex civil matters including commercial and shareholder disputes, and is very engaged with the firm’s pro bono work.
